My New Morning Routine | Advantages of Fasting, Waking Up Early and Getting After It!

in gallerani •  6 years ago

I'm a huge fan of routines and habits. Building habits, in my opinion, is the cornerstone to success in any field or endeavor.

I've messed around with my gym habits and my morning routine for years, but yesterday I decided to try something new on whim.

Here's the routine:

  1. Wake Up
  2. Get Dressed for the Gym
  3. Meditate
  4. Make Coffee
  5. Drink Coffee and Read for 1 Hour
  6. Once I'm Done With the Coffee and 1 Hour Reading, Head to the Gym

It's a pretty simple routine, but I felt better than I've ever felt before. I'm writing this post right now as I do the routine for a second time.

You'll notice that I don't eat anything in the morning. In fact, by the time I get back from the gym, I will have fasted for about 18 hours.

Fasting is yet another thing that keeps me extremely focused and training fasted in this routine felt absolutely incredible yesterday!!!

I can't wait to see how it goes today (I'm headed to the gym in about an hour as soon as I'm done writing this and then reading!!)

Waking up early, doing this routine and finishing it off with killer workout just seems to be the best way for me. Everyone's different, but I highly recommend giving this routine and other routines a shot and see which works for you!!

Having a routine is really important! It keeps you productive and on task as well as giving you something to look forward to every morning! I think everyone should take the time to set up a routine in the morning if they don't have one already! :)

My time restricted eating is on an earlier schedule. So I start eating early in the day, but finish eating early as well. My last meal is usually around 3 PM.

My routine:

  • Wake up and get coffee and breakfast going.
  • Afterwards, meditate
  • Review my list of goals
  • A few minutes of movement, "push ups, lunges, etc." This gets the brain flowing.
  • Then I immediately hop into work!

The days that are even better is when I am doing prolonged fast mimicking. Then I don't even have to worry about making food. Just the coffee!

Well your routine seems to look like mine just that mine is a little bit different from yours.
They are;
1)Wake up
2)Say my prayer
3)Read for 2hours
4)Do my regular in-door exercise e.g press up and push up.
5)prepare something to eat

6)take my bath and dress up for work.

My dear, I love body building...thats the more reason why I maintain my diet. My abs and pectoralis major are among what I derive my motivation from and it keeps me going.

Wow that's a fantastic routine. It's definitely different than mine, but what works for you is what's best for you! Bodybuilding is so fun, it's an ever-evolving sport and a new battle to fight each day!

That's a great morning routine.

There is definitely power in habit formation and execution. The best part is when you no longer even think about what you are doing, and you just excel by default!
