Razer today announced the upgrades to its high-end gaming notebook hardware primarily to better compete with products from Alienware and Asus. The sleek, slim design is kept intact, but instead comes with the quad-core Ivy Bridge processor and the more powerful Nvidia graphics chip.
Another change is that the SSD storage on the previous blade was replaced with a hybrid hard drive with 500 GB of standard hard drive and a 64 GB solid-state drive. Users will have more storage space and even the price will be cheaper but the machine will also be slower than the predecessor to the ability to copy files or other tasks.
Specifically, the Razer Blade is equipped with a 17.3-inch display with 1,920 x 1,080-pixel Full HD resolution, optional Intel Core i3 processor, Intel HM77 chipset, 8 RAM GB, the powerful graphics card Nvidia GeForce GTX 660M with VRAM 2GB GDDR5.
At the same price of $ 2,500 as the Alieware M17x, the Razer Blade will have a lower processor, unmanageable storage capacity and no optical drive attached. However, this model has the advantage of slim design than competing products.
Great specs... 👍
