In 1999 Volition and Interplay released the game FreeSpace 2. A few years later Volition released the souce code and the FS2 Open Source Code Project was born. I worked on that project for a few years. The game engine was updated to the point where the game play exceeded the original cutscene renders. This is a video of the original cutscene redone with actual game footage.
