The best PC gaming content has been delivered right to readers' doors by PC Gamer magazine for almost three decades. Expert buying recommendations, in-depth reporting, thoughtful criticism, and exclusive access to the most thrilling titles on the platform are all featured in every issue. It has a long and illustrious history and has published some of the best articles on PC gaming and the larger hobby throughout the years. And now that we are hiring our next magazine editor, you have the chance to own it.
Anyone with media experience in games who wants to make their impact on a company with a 29-year history should apply for this role. We're searching for an enthusiastic PC gamer with the drive and curiosity to explore every facet of the pastime, showcasing anything from intriguing, untold tales to novel viewpoints on the biggest titles available.
You'll oversee all step of the magazine's creation as the editor, working with our production and art editors to pack each issue with the previews, reviews, and features that our readers adore. To make sure each issue is the best it can be, you'll plan out the selection of in-depth, custom features for each issue and collaborate with the worldwide PC Gamer team—26 full-time writers and editors from the UK, US, Canada, and Australia—as well as our regular contributors. Additionally, you'll be involved in recruiting new writers, supporting emerging voices in the field, and developing them.
Additionally, you'll get to choose what appears on the cover by securing special access for the most intriguing and significant upcoming titles utilizing your contacts and industry knowledge. It might occasionally be a lion.
You may get more information about what we're searching for in the job description. Importantly, you can apply without prior print industry experience. We can educate you how to build a flatplan—and even what a flatplan is—even though we prefer those who have previous expertise in games journalism and strong industry connections.
