As I said in my previous post about the Sherlock Holmes games, I so enjoyed those old computer games that I want to share them again on Steemit.
In this post I'll tell you about my one of my best games from a bygone era. I hope for some feedback about what your best are.
Today I'd like to remember that real old classic Theme Hospital.
The aim of the game was to build a hospital to treat patients who either walked in or arrived by helicopter. The emergency cases had a blue beacon above their heads.
VIPs often visited your hospital too and could greatly improve or damage your reputation.

The first stage for patients was to visit the GP. Often the corridors became pretty dangerous as patients caught a vomiting bug.

Doctors and nurses, sweepers and a grim reaper are your staff. There is a rest room to build to keep them happy.
You have to build everything and, as your hospital grows, there are some weird treatment machines to cure the weird illnesses.

To succeed at the game you had to be a building planner, accountant, fast with the mouse and non-flusterable as the pace hotted up. As I said before, I loved it. I actually worked right through the game several times. It took days to complete.
The original game ran on XP and Vista. Later versions used Windows 7. There is now a patch for Windows 8 but for Windows 10 you need DOSBox which, they claim, will allow you to run it. I haven't tested this so try it at your own risk.
I could go on singing the praises of this brilliant old game but better finish now.

Very cool, these old games! Back then they were awesome, and looking back, they still are! Though I never played Theme Hospital, looks like chaos with all that vomiting in there :)

Yes but there were staff to clean up the pools. The trick was to stop it before the bug spread. O no, now I'm rabbiting on about that game again! Thank you for reading and commenting.
