In a press statement, the new owner of the Take-Two game had commented on the expected Mission Builder:

Players will have the opportunity to invite their friends to play on their missions and share their ideas with society. "

The addition will also bring a new package of mission-inspired missions. According to Take-Two, it will include a new kind of space exploration, emergency landing, and players' ability to recreate moments associated with historical events, but of course, with Kerbal typical of the plot. For now, there is only a confirmation that the expansion will only be available on PCs.

The Kerbal Space Program was launched in 2010. and came out of early access five years later. Shortly before being bought by Take-Two, in March last year Squad announced the work on a potential DLC, which means that the development lasted for a full year.
