This game was something that me and my ex had a lot of fun with. It a simple puzzle platformer with some pretty funny characters and many paths to victory. It is a little bit stupid that the game is narrated by a talking cave, but the game itself recognizes this silliness in the opening sequence.
You start the game by choosing 3 of the available 7 characters, who remain locked as your choices for the remainder of the game. Certain levels are only playable by the specific character chosen so the game has a replay value of at least 2 times through with original gameplay.
the knight is one of my favorites and of course he is meant to rescue a damsel in distress
None of the levels are terribly difficult and are for the most part simply puzzle solving. There is one portion of the game that even the developers acknowledge is a bit too difficult of a riddle so they actually provide the cheat website on the screen but encourage you to at least try to figure it out on your own.
I am a big fan of 2-D games - games that combine the simplicity of years ago with the best of today's graphics and I feel as though the Cave accomplished that because the art is wonderful. The narration is quite funny as is a lot of the game itself. It's only $10 on Steam, so I would say give this one a go if you like casual funny gameplay. It's my understanding that this game sold really well and was quite profitable for Sega yet they have no plans for a sequel. Oh well, no one is going to accuse Sega of having great management.
I will reinstall this game again today to play it again. I think there was at least one character I didn't finish the game with and really want to revisit "the twins" story as well.
It's a wonderful game. I think of it as a mix of an adventure game with "The Lost Vikings" gameplay (or maybe Trine, if you're younger). The possibility of selecting 3 from 7 characters with distinct abilities is the main positive thing about the game, because it gives you a lot of possibilities. I just think the "Cave" humour could be a little less forced

i've had it on 3 different computers with 3 different versions of Windows and 3 different VPU's. It has not done this for me. That's a pity :(

It seems each character has different different people to rescue or different mission to fulfil with the way you explain things?
If that's the case, it's like having 7 games in one game with just $10 which seems a bargain... Lol
I will love to try it out too.

If you have Steam on your computer put the game on a watch list. Since it is quite old it goes on special very frequently. I once saw it as low as $2.99 in the past.
