Kingdom Come: Deliverance - Great Game of Thrones fashion in progress before the release of the main game

Kingdom Come: Deliverance and Game of Thrones are to meet in the future.

Medieval games love a good modding community, and vice versa. This sentence will probably be valid until the end of time . Mount & Blade: Warband would be significantly less alive after all these years without zealous modders moving the scenario to Westeros or Middle-earth. The same applies to various Total War offshoots as well as Crusader Kings 2 . Well, and also Kingdom Come: Deliverance gets total conversion mods - that's clear even before the release of the actual game.

With Seven Kingdoms a modding team wants to bring the Riverlands from Game of Thrones into Kingdom Come: Deliverance to life. Armor, weapons, factions and an independent storyline should find their way into the game. The story does not duplicate the plot of the template, but strikes completely separate paths - appearances of the famous characters from GoT, of course, still take place. Incidentally, the Mod refers to the HBO series, not the books.

The team around Seven Kingdoms had previously worked on a total conversion of the same name for Total War: Attila , but they had come up against technical limits - the developers report in a FAQ for the new project:

_"Although we were quite capable of recreating the great armies and characters of Game of Thrones in Attila, the game offered us very little modding support, with few opportunities to integrate new features, such as a full-fledged campaign in Custom Maps were also pretty bogged down, the outdated development tools outdated, and most importantly, Attila is the older game, and Total War's developers focus on their new products and show little interest in modding older titles waiting."

Not so on Kingdom Come: Deliverance. The RPG is so fresh that it is not even in the shops. Cryengine also gives the modding team more flexibility in creating high-quality assets, even before release . However, mod-support from developers is officially still uncertain .

As the work on Seven Kingdoms is just beginning, there is still no information on a possible release date. The fact that this also Attila variant are pulped, does not necessarily speak for a guaranteed feasibility of the new project. First assets can be viewed on the official ModDB page of Seven Kingdoms .
