Marvel superhero fans have a lot to cheer for lately. The filmmaking universe of the House of Ideas turned out to be a bullseye, and so far there is no indication that it would lose its quality. Marvel is not limited to movies, but he understands that video games can also be a fantastic way to promote their comics.

 The company has ambitious plans for the adventures of their superheroes, and some details recently revealed Jay Ong of Marvel Games:

•  Marvel wants to work only with large studios that are able to invest in a given title a lot of money and their best employees,
•  Marvel will not sign exclusive contracts - each game and each license is treated separately,
•  The company puts on quality - games are to be less but to be much better than before,
•  All new Marvel games will have a lot of content, Marvel also has a whole section created to help developers who want to treat a title as a long-term service (is preparing a lot of DLC to Spider-Man?),
•  Video games are also a way to promote lesser-known superheroes

 

It sounds very good and we already see how these ideas work in practice. After all, Marvel recently signed a deal with Square Enix for a mysterious title with the Avengers, coming to Spider-Man from the Insomniac Games, and Telltale is working on the Guardians of the Galaxy. Personally, I am most happy about this last point, because in the Marvel universe there are many interesting, less well known characters that could be the basis for a great game. My thoughts are, for example, the Moon Knight.

 In any case, Marvel fans have a long way to go and soon they will go not only to theaters and comic book stores, but they will also increasingly buy games. And it's high quality games (or at least we hope!).
