I've been able to play the majority of the time for both days of the Eevee community day. Only really missing out on the first few minutes each day. Walked around talking with various people I came across until we parted way I came across other people. On Saturday Eeveening a friend called me to ask about the Eevee community day and asked if I wanted to walk around shortly in the afternoon with him in my city on Sunday. Which I definitely wanted to do. So we met up Sunday afternoon.
On Saturday I caught 3 shiny Eevee and on Sunday I managed to catch 6, making up for a total of 9 shiny Eevee. It's not that much, but would be enough for Eevee and all Eeveelutions. Though with the randomness of getting Flareon, Vaporeon and Jolteon it might be possible not to get all 3 with evolving 4 of them. So I haven't evolved them yet. Not sure what I will do. Maybe I'll see if I can evolve 3 and if I get one duplicate then I can see if someone wants to trade it for one of their double Vaporeon, Flareon or Jolteon.
Here's a picture of my first shiny Eevee. I caught it when I found 7 Eevee together after about half an hour.
This is the picture of the 7 Eevee I just mentioned. Sure there are only 6 in the wild and indeed one as a gym defender showing up. But that one isn't the 7th as I can't catch it. There was actually an Eevee behind the gym too, so it didn't show up until I already caught 2 of them. It might be surprising to see 7 Eevee here, but this area got an Eevee nest with the last nest migration so some of them are actually spawns from that nest. It sure was a hot spot!
On Sunday I was walking around with someone and was getting close to the market place. Then I got a text from a friend saying that there's a Miltank at the market place. I didn't have one yet, as I stopped playing for more than half a year just before the majority of gen 2 started releasing. I was really happy to see his message then, especially since my nearby radar didn't show a Miltank silhouette. Probably as I was so close to it already. So we walked a bit further and there it was! My first Miltank! =D
These are the 9 shiny Eevee that I caught during the event. None of them a wonder unfortunately, still really glad with these captures though!
I also traded several Eevee on Saturday Eeveening and got several lucky Eevee. I decided to evolve some of these that aren't too good in Flareon, Jolteon and Vaporeon so I could keep at least one of them with Last Resort. I forgot to put some of them as a buddy though to get 10km walked with them for Espeon and Umbreon with Last Resort. Hopefully I can get those sometime, otherwise I guess I just won't have those with Last Resort. Which isn't a big deal though as the move isn't particularly useful. Just nice to have.
Evolving my 98% lucky Eevee might have been a mistake though! I already have a 100% Jolteon as my only 100% from a raid. So I didn't need a Jolteon per se. But a Vaporeon or Flareon would be great, as my best for both are between 70-80%. Of course it evolved into Jolteon though. I guess I'll have to power this one up then and get 2 high CP Jolteon, alongside with the Raikou that I'll power up at the end of the month.
