The other day I had the two EX-Raids taking place, where I had received an invite for one of them from sweppman and invited him to the one I got a Pass for. A while before I was planning to head out to go to the Wooden Tree Sculpture Gym for the first EX-Raid I looked at my phone and saw some people post about a level 5 Raid at the Houten Schip Gym.
This one would take place about 15 minutes before the EX-Raid started at the Wooden Tree Sculpture Gym. So I put my name on the list and headed out earlier to go for the Giratina Raid first. Once everyone arrived we were able to easily take it on and I managed to get a good one too!
After that most of us headed to the Wooden Tree Sculpture Gym as most of us had an EX-Raid invite. Once we arrived there we had to split in like 3 groups for everyone to be able to participate in the EX-Raid, due to the group limits. When we successfully completed that Deoxys Raid some headed to the Wooden Playground Gym for the next EX-Raid that would start about 15 minutes after we left. Not everyone had a pass for there, so not everyone headed there. But there were a few other people there who didn't have a pass for the previous one. Here the total amount of people with a pass was lower, so we were able to split into just 2 groups for this Raid.
As you can see, I managed to catch all 3 of them! With the 2nd Deoxys being my highest so far, my previous highest was a 1540 CP one. I tried to trade the lowest Deoxys with someone, but then we noticed it's Mythical and not Legendary so can't be traded. Perhaps they're Mythical as long as they are part of EX-Raids.
On my way back home I walked across the city market square and stopped there for a bit to catch all the Pokémon. When I clicked one of the Ponyta there I saw the blue flames! That was great to see, encountered a Shiny Ponyta!
I kept the capture screen open for a bit, and walked a bit further to try and take a nice AR picture with it. When I found a good spot I switched to AR and tried to take the photo. As soon as I clicked on the button to take a picture my screen went mostly grey and the picture failed! :( After turning off the AR mode I was able to still catch it without being able to see it, as I still saw the name. When I caught it I had to restart my game as most of the game had gone grey!
As a mini event to celebrate the world of Ingress, Shiny Ponyta and Shiny Cubone had been added to the game. With increased spawns. These increased spawn are unfortunately gone again now. Which is too bad as I was unable to encounter the Shiny Cubone. Three Ingress-themed t-shirts became available for free in the style shop too.
I really hope that Niantic fixes that random problem with the screen turning grey soon!
