Got together and did a mini-session of Gloomhaven tonight. We weren't going to play on Sunday like normal this week so I suggested that we get together after work for a quick game.
Was a pretty cool session today. We are starting to get a bit more into the actual story of the game and a few of us are getting closer to completing our special missions for our individual characters. I'm really excited to see what changes after we start unlocking new things. My character should be done his special mission next time we play.
It's nice to be seeing a bit more story since the character progression is not really what I expected. I'm not sure if the other player's really care about the story since they don't really bother paying attention when I am reading what's happening in the missions. I had a bit of a struggle explaining that we were deciding if we were going to help out the bad guys or not today. One other player was insistent on helping them since he was all about helping people. After a few attempts at explaining he clued in that he was voting to help our enemies...
Hopefully I get to see a bit more of the game unfold next week!
