Continuing with my personal history of video games, especially in the online environment, and after my time in the great masterpiece of Ragnarok Online, I got to know Gunbound Latino.

This video game developed by Softnyx and released in August 2004, had a gameplay very similar to the well-known Worms, except that Gunbound stood out in the multiplayer arena. The players used mobile or artillery carts with different skills, in which the idea was to defeat the opposing team or player in a frenetic battle of precision and strategies.

I remember that within the Latin American sector, the largest population of the video game came from Peru. I always thought that it was the "official" game of that country, since they had great players on the scene. Regarding issues of countries, for me it was remarkable to meet people from Colombia, Venezuela, Argentina, Bolivia, among others, with whom one could interact without any problem, which is not very marked in other games.

This video game went through a phase of great success, I highlight the constant events, tournaments, challenges, personalization systems, changes of seasons, among other things, that over time went into a tailspin in a remarkable way. The gambling halls were becoming emptier, the alternative video games were much higher, as there was never an update that "marked", the cheaters still existed and their risk of being penalized was quite minimal, and that talking about the currency (cash) Gunbound, the skins (which had certain improvement stats) of the game were quite expensive, therefore the Pay To Win if you could see when playing.

Over time, the updates only made this video game "promise" was disgusting the players in general, where their protests were only forgotten and could not do much about it. The creation of pirate servers was seen as salvation, but apparently things were too late, everything good that had been created was distorted more and more.

In spite of everything, there are still people who continue to dabble in this videogame, but with a taste quite different from the one it had in its maximum splendor. Gunbound had me quite vitiated in his times, I remember that sometimes I went to the cyber to play it, I paid two hours (one to download the game and the other to play) and I stayed all afternoon there. It was something I had never played in its modality, something that in a certain way was more passive for me, but that still called my attention and left me with a good experience to continue touring upcoming titles.

Could you ever get out of a wooden ax?
