I signed up for the newsletter because 1 person is getting 1ETH apparently? It's all very new and hard to inspect unless you buy in. I don't recommend anything ETH based but wanted to share what the future will look like soon. CryptoKitties are a great example of the chain killing a cool game.
I'm sorry it's on the Etherium chain and you have to pay the miners to do anything. I'm tired of fees to move my wealth.

ETH really needs to figure out how it's going to scale asap. Silly cat game crippled them. Can't imagine what it will look like if a couple have success at the same time.
Can't wait for lightening network for BTC. Those fees are killer and that should fix the issue.

That is why I avoid any coin that has huge mining farms. When use gets crazy they kick our asses with fees. they still mine all the new coin and take too much for processing transactions. It's win win for them during high volume times so why change? Imagine what those fees will be after all coins are mined?

They are double dipping big time. It's actually a subject that I might write about as there is some shady stuff happening with Coinbase and others not implementing Segwit and batching transactions which would reduce network usage drastically and lower fees.
My thought is the miners are the ones driving up costs with so many micro transactions with super low fees that will never get confirmed but they show in the backlog (mempool) driving up fees.
If I owned a mining farm and had no interest in the actual blockchain movement, but just making as much money as possible this is without question the move I'd be making.
