Last night, I stopped by the local Dave & Buster's and played a bit of Pump. Traffic was a shit, and I didn't want to sit around waiting. So I played a few rounds, got to get up and move, and I set a few personal bests!
I was so close to a perfect combo, it's not even funny. Seriously! That was crazy good, especially considering I was sight reading that song. I'd never played it before!
Not terrible, but not perfect.
This one surprised me. There's one part in the refrain that has a few slightly weird step patterns. I handled it without thinking, and then realized it after the fact! It's the chart on the left, at 0:56:
It wasn't until I cleared that part did I realize what I did. It's kinda crazy how the body can handle things subconsciously, isn't it?
All of these were sight reads, all of these songs were new songs for me. I made a point to play songs that I hadn't. I'm trying to expand my horizons a bit, and find new songs to enjoy. I'm sticking with lvl 6 songs right now because I need to build up my stamina again. Figured I'd go through every song and learn all of the lvl 6 singles.
You might notice the World Best blurbs on the scores down at the bottom. That's a bug right now, all the World Records are busted. It looks cool, but it's not gonna last...
Regardless, it was a good night. I enjoyed myself, felt good afterwards, and traffic had died down enough that I was able to drive home without a bunch of unnecessary slowdowns. It was a good night!
