Hey Steem punks & Steem Princesses!

Today I want to talk about another golden gem of gaming. Let's soak in the nostalgia together and bring back some golden games that need more credit :)

Metal Gear Solid

I remember I received a demo disk of this game from Pizza hut. It basically put you in this story as a secret agent... Wait not a secret agent... A ONE MAN ARMY! hahah ... He is sent to infiltrate this base of enemies and do it in a stealthy manor. As you dive deeper in the game a huge conspiracy unfolds with a ton of stealth, a ton of mystery, and a tonnn of action!
I can still remember actually getting the game for my birthday and surpassing where the demo I had ended. It was an action sequence where you have to fight a large number of guards. Shooting machine guns and dodging bombs. Such a great experience from A-Z. Check out this gameplay:

The Good.

I don't know if I can say enough good things about this game. I want to start with the story... It will keep you on the edge of your seat... If you like a good story with tons of cool Sci-Fi and war elements, this will totally be an amazing experience for you. The bosses each offer a different amazing experience from shooting you with tanks, to controlling your mind and surroundings. Speaking of that! There was a boss called the Psyco mantis... IT WAS BRILLIANT. He would read you mind and the way to beat him was to literally unplug your controller and put it into the second controller slot.

I remember as a kid, I desperately wanted to beat the game in a certain way... To beat the game one with(Surviving the torture scene) You would be granted the "Stealth Armor" which made the game an entirely new experience. It was basically a playground for death and destruction. Trickery at its best.

The game has a ton of amazing things that I can say about it, it was revolutionary for its time and is just great.

The Bad.

The graphics dont hold up much for today... There was a nice remake done for the gamecube.. the controls feel a bit weird to play on this one but it still does the job.
Also if you are not into a FAT story, this wont be for you. Be ready to sit and watch extremely long cut scenes telling an extremely vast story. Dont worry, it offers twice as much gameplay and action.

The Ugly.

In one of the guides that I owned as a kid.... it taught you mischievous ways to use your camera. One of those being Ghost hunting. There are ghosts spread all around the world of Metal Gear Solid, and they can be exceptionally creepy. Another thing I remember is if you zoom in on the censors for the passed out guards butt with the camera, it uncensors it and you can see full ass. hahah of course the graphics arent the best.

OVERALL SCORE 9/10 TRULY A GEM OF GAMING

Say what you want about the series now, but this game is just the best of its kind for the time it came out. It had changed my life and showed me what gaming potentially can be... and that emulsion into a vast world and that action hero feeling is just not comparable to anything in this world. I cannot recommend this game enough. If you havent played it, make sure you put it on your list. I hope you enjoyed this episode of the golden gems of gaming. If you did make sure you slap an upvote on it, and give me a follow if your new! See you guys later tonight for the best and worst!

This game is absolutely amazing. I remember getting a demo of it from Playstation Underground prior to release. I probably got 40+ hours out of the demo alone.

I remember the demo only let you get up to the Daarpa chief having a heartattack. I played that demo over and over and over too hahah
