Resident Evil 4, Classic Game Reviews

This is the first Resident Evil I played, which must be the reason I fell so deeply in love with it.

After finishing this one, the other RE's that came out seemed dull and boring, this one had it all, variety, suspense, action and incredible boss fights.

And even though you have a plethora of weapons and items, if you are not careful, you will find yourself having to knife down a god damned giant..

Yes, that happened to me during my first playthrough, I was just running around the giant's legs while occasionally stopping to knife him ( because you can't run and knife at the same time ); it did seem like an eternity, because I was on the edge of my seat, hoping he won't bash me into the ground, which meant I had to do the same thing all over again.

Thankfully that didn't happen, and after 15 minutes of that, the giant finally fell to the ground. I FELT LIKE A GOD, I had a friend watching me the entire time, he couldn't believe his eyes. Sadly I didn't finish the game for some reason, and I lost my saves.

But I decided to give it another go. That being said, this second playthrough I ended up being more prudent with my ammo and started exploring more.

This time I had a quest, never remain out of ammo, to aid my quest I used the power of positioning and perfectly placed shotgun blows / grenades or mischievous actions like climbing up ladders and knifing anyone trying to climb the same ladder, sometimes even kicking the ladders where possible.

I had lots of fun with this game, and I must say it's one of the best I played, if you haven't played it yet, I highly recommend you do! You will thank me later.
