5 Recommended FPS Games by jodipamungkas [ENG/IND] #89

It is a sad thing I don't see the original F.E.A.R on this list. It's hands down one of the best PC shooters that still holds up to this day. To everyone that didn't play it, get it right now!

Don't worry about it being too scary, scary is good sometimes, plus it's not like it's littered with scare jumps and nasty horror tricks, it's quite the opposite, the ambient and the sounds are the ones that actually get under your skin.

Also don't worry about having to fight through hordes of enemies and while dealing with potential scares, that won't happen. They are totally separated and you are never caught of guard as to when a bunch of soldiers will start shooting at you.

It is however a difficult game, the AI's are really though to deal with, often flanking you or hiding behind cover ( if there is none they will kick down tables trying to make one ) , they don't spam grenades but boy when they do throw grenades, you almost always end up dying if you don't pay attention since there is no big indicator on screen telling you to dodge. Sometimes they also turn off the lights, just so they can see your flashlight better.

Even though they are smart, to succeed you need to be smarter than them, flank them before they flank you, take them by surprise, throw a grenade before they even enter the room.

Trust me, after playing this piece of art, you will start to hold higher expectations from FPS games, that being said, most modern FPS have nothing on F.E.A.R.
