Game spotlight:
Game spotlight is a series of short blogs I will post regularly on my page, the idea is to cover all types of small and indie games across all platforms that I think are great fun to play and are not too expensive. I personally love playing games made by small studios and independent creators because they tend to be more unique, so you are often in for a lot of surprises.
Don't Starve Together:
Don't starve is an action adventure game, on its original release it was solo player however they released the together part which allows you to play multiplayer.
The game is based on survival, you have a health and hunger bar which need to be kept as high as possible, there is also a clock that tells you when the day is nearing the end. To survive through the night and the monsters it brings you will need to hunt and gather through the day so that you can have at least a fire when the night does come.
To start with you can chose between 15 different characters;
Wilson
Woodie
Wes
Willow
Each different character has unique in-game advantages or disadvantages to help or hinder your attempts at survival. For example one character has the ability to befriend a certain type of enemy and another character is hindered by taking damage from water.
During the night time a range if enemies will start to spawn and they can come in many different shapes and sizes so you have to keep an eye out. If you kill an enemy they will drop some loot; sometimes you will be given food or something to help build however some enemies will drop items that are useless for you.
I think Don't Starve Together is a lot if fun because survival alone is relatively hard so when it comes to surviving with a group it can be pretty hard, especially if someone tries to sabotage you. I also quite like the look of the game as it looks like a long series of drawings put together in a sort of flip book.
Man I love this game!
