Ever since the beginnings of Hearthstone, I was fond of aggressive, early game decks. I guess it has something to do with me wanting to finish people as fast as possible.
So I did exactly that. Majority of my Hearthstone career was revolved around constructing rush decks from scratch. We could say that's my specialty. Lol
After finding about Gods Unchained about a year ago, I was super excited to learn how a similar, trading card game will be released with economy on Ethereum blockchain.
Some time has passed, I even forgot about GU, but eventually @acidyo reminded me again so I took his beta key and went forward to install the game...
Since the very first day in GU, I started crafting aggressive decks from the basic core cards I had... and even then, I had a good time
I was climbing the leagues pretty fast... but still, something was missing
Obviously I needed more grinding in order to get all the potential core cards I might needed.
The overlooked aspect is how game is completely free to play, and core cards are OP - meaning you can do wild shit just if you are persistent.
So I was winning more and more... collecting those cards like a huge enthusiast, after some time I decided to create death rush deck
I didn't know much about Death back then, only that it is crazy living on the line deck that wins through inflicting self harm... eventually, as more and more days passed, I perfected my deck in a way it allowed me to finish people in 4-5 turns
Listen, I'm not gonna lie, there was a time when this deck was dominating even more... but even right now, it made me reach Top 100 in the world
And it feels fucking amazing.
On this journey, I played with random Steemians on many occasions... such as my great colleagues @snook and @steeminator3000
I'm super grateful to experience those exciting games with them! And honestly, I can't wait til' @ocdb starts organizing tournaments... where we'll be able to compete each other and have loads of fun! Fuck it, even win some STEEM on the way! :D amazing...
To cut the story short, the death rush deck I created is currently the fastest finishing deck in game with an average of 6.1 turns
That facts makes me the fastest finisher in game. How does it feel? It feels good, but it will feel much better when millions of people will play this game :P
I don't doubt my ability to stay positioned where I am.
The best part is, deck is completely free to play with an estimated price of 0 Ethereum.
Therefore, if you feel like you want to fuck your opponents up, you can copy this 1 or make a similar deck and start mastering it...
Its super duper fun to play, but not gonna lie, sometimes complicated. Since this game is like a Chess, where every single move decides the outcome... obviously there are various outcomes :P
The spell that goes with the deck is always burn power. Which allows you to give enemy creature Burn +2 and simultaneously deal 2 damage to your opponent's God and yourself.
That is the core power of this deck and without it you'll find it pretty hard to pilot it. And reap success...
As you can see, there is no a single card for 5 Mana in my deck. Go hard or go home, we could say.
You basically do all you can to win early game, or you are pretty much fucked up - and that's how it is. lol
The whole wisdom is to try and flood the board with early game minions, making sure they survive somehow
The lethal finisher usually comes when you play Singsong Satyr, and earliest you can do it is Turn 3 (if used a bag of tricks)
There are some additional tools to help you win... such as Brimstone (deals 2 damage to both Gods and draws you a card), or Bombfly for example, a card with 3 attack, 1 HP and an afterlife of dealing 3 damage to both Gods. My favorite card at the moment.
Pro Tip:
When your opponent is super low HP and you feel safe, you can always burn your Bombfly and do 5 damage before they can do shit.

If this is the first time you are seeing this game and wanna try it out:
Gods Unchained is a new competitive trading card game backed by Coinbase and led by the former Director of Magic the Gathering: Arena. The cards are real world tradable in an open economy, remember their stats and history, and you'll be able to play for keeps and earn valuable cards. Gods Unchained is free to play and currently in beta. You need to be invited to get in, but if you're interested in trying it you're welcome to use my beta key: BETA KEY
Nice summary. Didn't level enough to have all the required cards by now, but will give it a try after the beta wipe. I might post my custom nature deck as well, which performs about 50/50 against those death decks I think.

Dope, I’ve always loved aggressive decks as well. I’ve yet to play much with death but I’m hoping I love it when I get around to it.

Nice one. I've come up against a few decks similar to this. I run a War rush deck myself which can ride out the minion waves. It's the god power that's hard to survive.

No I don't sorry. Since last weekend I bought 100 packs so I'm reworking my deck anyway and this latest update has killed my install. I'm pretty far from top 100.
The gist of the deck is using Onslaught, so lots of blitz and twin strike to neutralise the minion rush. Typically high damage, low health - Trojan Battlemage is a favourite. I also use Bladecaster and Belligerent Warlock to feed buffs when killing the weaker minions and you got a few of those.
Against a deck like yours I'd focus on neutralising the early minion rush, get a few face hits in so that your god power hurts too much to use and then play an attrition game. Last decent stint with this deck I had a couple of 5 mana and a 6 mana card from memory. Most of the times when I won the game would last 8-12 turns.
