Call of Duty WWII: dedicated servers are back

The launch of Call of Duty: WWII has been a huge commercial success; a technical success, much less, with many instabilities for the online mode. After cutting dedicated servers over the weekend, Sledgehammer Games reactivates them today.

Dedicated servers are, as their name suggests, servers devoted to the operation of a game; they are opposed to a peer-to-peer matchmaking where each of the players is a potential host, with what it implies quality if his connection is bad or if he ends up leaving the game. It is on this second option that the developers had to leave this weekend to work on their dedicated servers, finally set up on all platforms, for the best hope.
