Tomorrow is the latest iteration of Pokemon Go’s Community Day which stars Larvitar. It is always great when these events come around as it provides great opportunities to stock up on items that will come into great use in the future. This is a great one as Larvitar and its evolutions are one of the games beat attackers.
There are number of bonuses as well. In addition to the accustomed three hour long lures, Pokemon caught during the event will provide triple XP for those still grinding to level 40. Also, don’t forget to save a couple of Tyranitars with the exclusive moveset Smack Down. This fast move will make the Pokemon one of the best attackers of the game.

In addition, I have saved my best Larvitar hatches to have handy for evolving into Tyranitars before the end of the event!
Remember, you need to evolve before the end of the event to ensure you get the Smack Down moveset.
Lastly, let’s see how many shinies we can get! I would love to get at least three to have one for each evolvement.
