Despite not being able to play as much in the last couple weeks due to a number of reasons, one of the games that has accompanying me during that time has been Pokémon Let’s Go. I have played it while on the road and have actually enjoyed it as is as it has given me a nostalgic sense of when I used to play years ago. The game is a remake of the original Pokémon Red and Blue games but with much improved graphics and new mechanics. For example, they have taking the mechanic of throwing the poke ball similar to what we see in the mobile app Pokémon GO.
I can honestly say that I really don’t remember walking through this game very much but I have enjoyed the experience and battling all of the gyms and finding my way from town to town. My main goal when purchasing and buying this game was to be able to trade and move Pokémon from the mobile game into the Nintendo Switch. However, I was surprised to find out that you actually have to complete about half of the game in order to get to the Safari Zone in order to make the exchange.
I now have been able to move some of my collection from the mobile game into the Switch game in order to assist me battling through the future trams that I will encounter in the game. I have not been able to play past that part but it continues to be an enjoyable experience as the mechanics have proven to be interesting particularly when using the Pokémon Go Plus. This is a special pokeball controller. It also serves as storage to walk around in the real world with your Pokémon.
In all, if you enjoyed the original GameBoy games you will definitely enjoy this version of the game. The battling and catching experiences are much more for filling than the original which is probably more than likely due to the awesome graphics that they have achieved. More importantly, it encourages me to be excited about what the future is yet to come for Pokémon on the latest generation Nintendo switch. I will provide updates as I dive deeper into the Game.
Thanks!
