  • Dying Light has received a New Content Drop
  • New location and New Zombie Mutation
  • “Harran Egg Hunt” Community Bounty Now Available
2015 release Dying Light has continued to stick to the "10 in 12" Year-long content plan by releasing its fourth update of the year across all platforms.

At 2:38 this morning, Dying Light received an update. The update comes welcome after developers Techland came out with a promise to the community that they would be supporting the Parkhour-based Zombies game with a wealth of updates over the course of late 2017 and early 2018.

Released earlier in the year were such things as new playable character skins, new weapons and new enemies, however this is the first time this year that a new location will be released.

On the blog post, the developers wrote:

Content Drop #4 takes players to a Prison Island – a brand new location to discover. This isolated fortress is home to Prison Heist, a fresh game mode where you must break into the armory as fast as you can – either solo or with friends in co-op. The faster you break in, the better the rewards. This is a time-attack mode designed for seasons players, so come prepared”.

According to the post, the update also contains Content Drop #5.

Content Drop #5 is ‘Sgt. Deathrow’, a new mutation of the Demolisher Zombie, that gives off a 'monster shot of experience points' when you take him down.

Also included in the update is a new community bounty named 'The Harran Egg Hunt', where players chase a 'zombified Easter Bunny to collect eggs to unlock the magnificent Easter Outfit' (featured above).

Also release was a Chinese language option, along with an ominous image with 'Snake in the Grass' and 'Coming Soon' above it - the meaning of this is a mystery for now, but may have something to do with how Techland ended the Blog Post:

'we strongly recommend getting good at Prison Heist - it might come in handy soon..'

It's exciting when a developer continues to support an old game rather than releasing a sequel, and it's great that a game as fun as Dying Light is still receiving content.

Dying Light is an amazing game! I love that the developers keep it updated still even after all this time.

Indeed. Developers that keep their player base on their toes is a good company imo

Oh yeah, no doubt! It's always sad when devs abandon their games AND their fan base/customers. It's always such a nice change when you get teams like the one behind Dying Light who truly care!
