EA offers 10 hours of Unravel 2 Trial

Unravel 2 had been revealed by EA earlier this month at E3. It is undoubtedly one of the better parts of EA's showing at E3 and they offer a 10-hour playtime on Origin for free.

Unravel 2 will feature the first two chapters of the actual game and gives players a good feel of what to expect in this game. One of the biggest game mechanics introduced to the game is that players can work together as a two-man team to solve the complex puzzles within the game.

Unravel, the predecessor, had done fairly well critically. It scored an average of high 70's among several gaming magazines and sites. With its challenging and puzzling gameplay, many players can expect the sequel to be just as difficult in the demo.

Martin Sahlin, the Director of Unravel, had said, "We live in the sticks. It's a very small town, very far north, close to the Arctic circle. There's not a lot of people, but a whole lot of countryside. I wanted to share some of that, some of the places that I love."

It goes to show that Unravel had a strong sense of aesthetics, great soundtrack and stunning artwork. It was considered to be one of the best assets of the game, something you had to play to experience. Along with its solid story and the protagonist, Yarny, it pretty much made the game as powerful as it is.

However, it did come with a few issues of its own such as controls being a bit sub-optimal or the puzzles becoming a bit stale after a while. Unravel 2 will still have a high bar to overcome and with the new mechanic of having a two-man team, we can expect far more complex and interesting puzzles for the finished product.

The only thing you will lose here is time. Unravel had been a marvellous experience when I played it, and 10 hours of Unravel 2 is being offered for free until July 30th.
