PAX: Cosplay Chris bringing Odyssey to life

in gaming •  6 years ago

The last time we saw Cosplay Chris was at Oz Comic-Con as Whiplash. He utilised his experience to create amazing replicas of fictional characters and this time for this year's PAX, he brought out a stunning and very convincing cosplay of Alexios from Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed: Odyssey. Chris shows some of what he did to make the Spartan come to life.

Gamers Classified: Cosplay Chris, the last time we saw you, you were turning into Whiplash. What's happened here?

Cosplay Chris: Massive turnaround! I'm now Alexios from Assassin's Creed: Odyssey.

GC: Tell us about this crazy build.

CC: I did it in three weeks! Ubisoft approached me and asked if I could build a costume. It's mostly foam, EVA foam, foam gauntlets. Some parts were 3d printed, obviously, with Whiplash, 3d printed. I've also got a lovely lady's nighty and some lovely lady's sandals so just thinking on my feet in three weeks.

GC: Trade secrets! Would you like to show up your costume for the camera?

GC: Thank you and if people wanted to stay in touch with you, how can they do that?

CC: I'm on Instagram and YouTube as CosplayChris, @Cosplay_Chris. I will have a video up soon on this costume and the process and the breakdown of it and how to put it on.

GC: Have you played the latest Assassin's Creed game?

CC: I have played the EB Expo demo back up in Sydney. I've been watching these guys do the gameplay, but visually it looks like a stunning game so far everyone's raving about it and everyone is loving it which is great so it's been really good to represent it given the reception.

GC: Cosplay Chris, thank you very much for your time!

CC: Thank you Yoshii, a pleasure as always.

Cosplay Chris will still be out and about at PAX showing off more costumes with his immaculate work. Be sure to follow him on his social media to see some of his latest work and some of the ins and outs of how he brings each character to life!
