"I like the stories where the villain was the man beside you the whole time."
-Varric Tethras (Dragon Age: Inquisition)
So now we know that there will be no more main game sequel to Dragon Age, yes? Wait, you do know, right? If you don't just read this post I wrote some time ago for a short explaination of what the next Dragon Age game might be. As for Mass Effect, I don't know if BioWare has more plan for the franchise after its updates and went free on Origin with subscription.
So a Dragon Age fan called Lethallan made a pretty good video of both Dragon Age: Inquisition and Mass Effect: Andromeda into one alternate story (This might sounds like a disaster to some, you know, given the negative critics both games got). But still, it's really creative. The first video--that is possibly going to be a fan made series--called The Trojan Horse.
So the story is about the event during Trespasser where the Inquisitor is on the journey to determine the fate of the Inquisition and to find the bitch that started all the chaos in the world of Thedas they just dealt with. Problem is, the person they are looking for, Solas, is very good at hide and seek, so the Inquisition have to find help from people that Solas don't know about and they seek for help from Ryder's crew.
Just when the Inquisitor's team thought that these people from different world could help them to stop Solas, Solas is already ahead of them. The Dread Wolf disguise himself as Cole to access the Hyperion through SAM node and appear right in front of Ryder. Hence the name the Trojan Horse. What will happen after that, what will the Dread Wolf do to or with the Pathfinder is still in the making. What? Open a Fade rift in space?
Lethallan combined the actual in game cutscenes from both games together perfectly that it looked like a real game made by the developer. For a one person-made who is also still learning, this is quite neat already. I see a lot of this sort of video, combining cutscenes.. Crossover stuff, but mostly they still looked wonky.
Lethallan is a psychology student with interest in video editing and digital art, and exploring editing techniques and visual storytelling as a goal in mind. While Lethallan is trying to improve with each video, I can't wait for the part 2 of this crossover. I'd like to see more sleek cutscenes combinations and the story too. If you'd like to see that too, you can subscribe to the channel; Lethallan TV.
Fun Fact:
There is an easy to miss LoTR reference in Dragon Age: Inquisition. In one of the maps, there's a broken stone bridge that if you approach it Varric will say "No, nobody's throwing me across.". It's a reference to Gimli's line "Nobody tosses a dwarf!" in a scene where the fellowship have to jump over a broken stone stairs in the mines of Moria.
