Cyberpunk 2077, The Next CD Projekt Red Masterpiece I'm Excited About

"What can you know about saving the world, silly? You're but a witcher."
-Ciri

If you think The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is a masterpiece, you goddamn right. Even the latest expansion alone, Blood and Wine considered to be so huge that it almost like an entire game. While Blood and Wine is the grand goodbye from The Witcher game series (at least for now), CD Projekt Red is working on another game that I absolutely sure will be another masterpiece from these guys. This post is talk about sort of post about the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077.

In this game we'll take the role of a young man who were raised in the gutter and wants to improve his life. And from what I read, the player's character is not going to be a predestined character like Geralt, instead we will have a few classes to choose for this young man.

The game is set in open world filthy, drug infested futuristic metropolis called Night City. This popular drug in Night City called Braindance, which let the consumer to experience the emotions of another person as if they were their own, experience another person's life in any moment as if it were the consumer's real life.

Another differently unique and intriguing feature is in the game there will be non-English speaking characters. So if the player don't understand the language, we need to buy a translator technology to comprehend the spoken languages that possibly implanted to the character's head. The technology provides different translations quality, the more expensive and advanced the implants the more accurate the translations. I don't know if this kind of feature is already existed in some game before and I just didn't know about that or it really is something new, either way I find this feature quite interesting.

There is a theory about The Witcher 3 being related to Cyberpunk 2077, what does it called, cross world? Cross universe? Shared universe? It's there but I can't remember it, it's really makes my mind uneasy.

You can see in the video below, Ciri talk about a world where Eredin couldn't find her, and the way she describes what she saw in there makes it more likely to be the Night City of Cyberpunk 2077.

If this is true, it would be awesome if we could meet Ciri in Night City as a character with a side quest, perhaps. Or just a glance of her at some point as an easter egg. And if they are really going to make that, I'm sure it will be unexpectedly great, more than what I just said.

Each of CD Projekt Red's games has been more successful than the last game, so you could say I believe CD Projekt Red's Cyberpunk 2077 will be the next great RPG game that we could spend hundreds of hours in it and many years to talk about. The game currently has 300 developers working on it which is more than The Witcher 3 ever had, and CD Projekt Red president Adam Kiciński said that the team will grow to around 400 people which sounds like they are just excited as we are.

You do know how greatly detailed The Witcher 3 cities, how excellent the animation and the cinematic feel. They don't stop at that point of excellence. CD Projekt Red is being funded by Polish government, and is the studio that received the biggest cut. They put the grant to research about seamless multiplayer, city creation, cinematic feel, and animation exellence, that they probably will implement to Cyberpunk 2077. Imagine how spectacular their next game would be. Also, Cyberpunk 2077 would be the first CD Projekt Red's big RPG with multiplayer feature.

With that much experienced development team and the money for their research.. Yeah, I think this game will be amazing.

The grant comes with a deadline, by which time the game must be completed, and it seems like it has to be released by June 2019, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows. Well, it might be too soon to write about this, sorry but I'm just too excited.

Yeah I am hella excited about this game since hearing about it a few years back. Not sure which kidney I'm going to sell to get everything I'll need to play it, but I've already stopped drinking to get them as healthy as possible for the harvesting!

Me too, can't wait until it release. I'm not sure if my kidneys are healthy enough to sell, so I keep my best friend from drinking.

Thanks for sharing! I loved Witcher 3 and this game wasn't even on my radar. I am looking forward to Detroit: Become Human later this year :)

Right, Detroit! Detroit: Become Human is another upcoming game that I'm also looking forward to (but I don't own a PS4 so I don't know if I could..).
Oh and I'm glad my post can give good info

Looks like a pretty cool game. I wish the trailer actually showed some game play though. Also, since you asked about games where you need to translate a character's language, I'm pretty sure one of the Final Fantasy games has this 'feature'. I'm not sure which one it was, but I remember my boyfriend playing one where he had to find things that would teach him the language before he could communicate with certain characters. It was kind of neat. I don't know if this game will work the same, but it's interesting.

I can't find a gameplay trailer of it, must be because it's too early, sorry haha. I'll update about this game when there is much more info of it. I've never play a game with that kind of 'feature' before. If it was as you said, kind of neat, but underrated thing in video games, then it's good that there is a developer who decided to make that feature in the next big game.
