I was farming. I was using human capital for more nefarious advantage. As someone put it on reddit somewhere, Darkest Dungeon is like a heartless HR simulator, except instead of managing the perils and fortunes of office workers, you are toying with the fortunes of people armed with weapons.
I guess... like HR for some sort of army, walking into the howling winds of a dungeon, in a storm at night.
A bit more farming, then a clear and concise showing of the path away from the Hamlet for a few heroes. It is time to be heartless and treat them like an expendable piece of the economic pie.
