Diablo III - Necromancer Hitting Level 70!

in gaming •  7 years ago

I'm a big fan of necromancy. It all started with Heroes of Might and Magic II, and raising a massive skeleton dragon army, and wandering around the world decimating everything that I encountered.

When Blizzard released the Necromancer content for Diablo III, I was pretty over the moon. I bought it, and it sat on the digital shelf, like so many of my games in my collection. Life took over, work got busy, and being social with others outside of the computer room took over.

That's all over now, locked away back in my precious, safe space, amid the glow of a RGB keyboard, and UV / Blue case fans.

Not only does the Necromancer content add the best class ever conceived in gaming to the loot fest that is Diablo 3, but there's been iterative improvements on the title between now, and what was then; a game that I've poured over 450 hours into since its release.

It has an addictive formula, and enough content to keep it fresh. Playing a new class is almost like playing a new game; and with different build opportunities, item sets, co-op, rifts, adventure mode, and the largeness of the game world, there's literally tons to do - upgrading gems, upgrading armor stat by stat, and of course, hoping you'll get to go to treasure land every time you see a treasure goblin.

Here's a video of the moments leading up to my Necromancer hitting Level 70. Now, I'll be seeing how far I can get in solo Greater Rifts; and trying to complete this fun looking build.

Sounds like you're almost ready to graduate to Path of Exile.
Congratulations :P

and I keep getting distracted from playing PoE by D3...

I really love many of the things PoE adds that D3 doesn't have, like levelling gems just by using them/having them equipped just to start.

The customisation is off the rails.
In fairness, I haven't played D3, so I can't compare.

Its on that very long list of games to play. :)

I'm too afraid to get into this game, it'd get me addicted so hard.... still, nice to see the passion! Resteemed!
