Is Overwatch's new hero Brigitte OP?

Overwatch's new support hero Brigitte has gone live on the on the PTR this week.  Now I have had a lot of opportunities to play her and I am honestly amazed at Blizzards ability to come up with new heroes for us to play.  Brigitte is in a class all her own, just like Mei, Junkrat, and Torb (her father).  She plays as a smaller Rein but is so much more than that.

Brigitte is able to use her hammer to whack close enemies and stun far away threats at the same time.  Her true value comes from her ability to counter most dive characters like Genji, Tracer, and Winston.  The fact that she can heal allies and throw out armor regularly completely nullifies the damage that dive characters are able to output.

Her shield bash alone helps create distance between her and her opponent and makes your respect her area of attack. However, Brigitte definitely has her struggles when it comes to certain match ups.  Phara is a hard counter to Brigitte, in fact most of my time on the PTR has been spent practicing my Phara skills cause her splash damage wrecks Brigitte.

I think Blizzard will need to increase the size of her shield or at least change its shape so that there is less splash damage that can effect her.  I will be playing Brigitte later today on DLive, so if you're interested in seeing some great game play feel free to stop by later!
