The Best PC Games of 2018.

This has been a strange year in gaming, we've seen a rise of Battleroyale genre and the fall of big companies like Blizzard and Bethesda, Blizzard by announcing Diablo Immortal for smartphones and cancelation of big development on Heroes of the Storm, Bethesda for absolutely horrible butchering of Fallout name with the abomination they call Fallout 76. There were some good games worth mentioning while most of them were not that special nor memorable, but as always there are some games that will bring that spark in your eyes and make you jizz (in your pants). For me as a huge fan of RPGs you will probably see a decent number of those, but there are some surprises as well. Some games didn't quite make it, games like Frostpunk, They are Billions, Inquisitor: Martyr, Warhammer: Vermintide 2, Battletech etc. they came close but not close enough like these.

Subnautica

Survival games are not my main forte, but Subnautica proved me wrong big time. This is a game where you are all alone on an alien water planet trying to survive and discover the mysteries of that world. And what a great world it is, you will feel like a digital Jacques Cousteau exploring the depths and finding new ways how to build your underwater base and survive in that beautiful but harsh environment. Subnautica has been in early access for a long time and that work definitely shows on the game, it is as polished as pimps shoes on a busy saturday evening. Now when it is finally out you can get it for free from Epic Games. If you somehow missed this gem trust me it is well worth your time. You can read my full review here

Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire

Obsidian is a gaming company that gets shit done, in a long line of great games from that company Deadfire RPG proves that they still got it. In the sequel from 2015. original this game steps up and delivers on all fronts, story, huge world to explore, dozens of classes and multiclasses to try out, you can even have your own ship and crew. Story revolves around God Eothas who went kinda berserk and started draining souls from every living soul, not on our watch he won't. You and your merry crew of cutthroats will try to stop the bastard and deliver him a hot meal of whoop ass. You can read my full review here

Pathfinder: Kingmaker

Kingmaker is one of those hardcore old school RPGs that will bring back nostalgic memories from the greater age of gaming when we used to play Baldurs Gate, Icewind Dale and Neverwinter Nights games. I'd also say that Kingmaker takes those games and creates something new with the old Dungeons&Dragons formula, a game that is not for everyone because of its hardcore and unforgiving battles, but for us old school gamers it is such a breath of fresh air that still proves there are some passionate developers out there that can create great games.
