Coming on June 21st, Warfield is an online multiplayer first person shooter game. The difference to all the existing games is your ability to win real cryptocurrency from playing. What’s the verdict?

For me this is a very exciting development. Similar to some of the existing games on the steem blockchain, WARFIELD is offering a chance to play an exciting first person shooter with the possibility of earning real money from being good. It is projects like this that I would be hoping to see launch on the SMT network once it is up and running. Projects that can get a large player following attracting new people to the blockchain, adding value and offering rewards to the participants.

While I play at both @steemgarplayroom and @super8ballclub, both of which have rewards for the winning players. They payout in SBD and votes, which are generated from sponsorship. A game like WARFIELD has a lot more marketability to generate its own revenue and can sustain a healthy payout system and cover costs for those involved in running it. I would only love to see it launching on the STEEM blockchain rather than the Ethereum one as it has the possibility of attracting a lot of new users and generate a lot of value for its chosen blockchain.

In the short term this is only one of many interesting blockchain projects which I have come across lately and it really is great to see how much development is coming online so fast in the past year. Any successful project like this can only be a good thing in the long run and lead to more diverse and interesting projects being started.
