With around 28 games released the Magnavox Odyssey was a big success at the time. Costing $99(roughly $500 today), two controllers with wires, and no sound capabilities!

Wow, that's a great video. Hilarious! It is amazing how far we've come in such a (relatively) short period of time.

@silent.screamer, I'm sure the developers if the developers of that game look back now to compare their game with what it's being release now, they might say theirs is crappy but they sure led the way for others to follow

That's awesome - I've never seen something like that and it's not even that long ago.. I'm surprised how much development was made since that time :) Today, nearly everything is possible and I'm already excited what's coming in the next few years! Great post :)

When we look back to 2017 from the year 2040, we will think the same, wondering how touch screen phones and tablets were a thing and that controlling your device with your thought wasn't even invented...

This did pave the way for video games today, but jeez....I'm cringing watching this.
