Destiny.

In the video gaming world, it's a name that has come to be synonymous with the concept of an unfinished game. Games in which the developers sell you only a piece of the final product, before selling you downloadable content (DLC) that is meant to complete the experience.

While many enjoyed the new universe that Bungie had created, myself included. Some of us couldn't help but feel a little underwhelmed by the amount of content in the original release; in fact, it felt as if we were lied to. Before the launch of the original, Bungie had promised open expanses (see video below at 2:20), and a new universe for us to fall in love with. But, unfortunately, a lot of these promises fell short, leaving players with a game that was something different than they were promised.

But, now, after playing around a bit in Destiny 2, the successor to Bungie's previous title, it's safe to say things have changed. Immediately, the player is greeted with something not often seen in the first game; cutscenes.

While the original game did have cutscenes, they were not nearly as fleshed out as the ones found in its successor. These little pieces of video bring a story to the forefront, something that was sorely needed in the first game.

With a new story, and a fresh slate, it seems as though Bungie has gotten rid of one of the first game's most irritating problems, the lack of a story.
