Dust 2 is probably the most played map in CS GO. Valve had been teasing about the new map for dust 2 for some time and finally it was rolled out to everyone on 19th.
I recently got into CSGO and my favourite map is Dust 2 but the recent update which looks beautiful goes a little hard on my GPU.
I have a low spec laptop on which I used to get frame rates of 130-160 when playing on low settings in 720p resolution but on the new map, it hardly reaches 100 with an average of 85 fps when played on the same settings.
This results in a little bit lag in aiming which affects the gameplay.
Along with the graphics there are other changes too.
The upper tunnel is a lot narrower, the boxes on site B look like they are made of husk, there are no boxes near the upper tunnel entrance when going from T-spawn, there are hard steps added near walls in many areas, and there is a thatched roof in the upper tunnel.
The walls are brighter and the car near A site gives more space and better cover.

Hey! I noticed the same thing, although I used to get 200+ frames on the old Dust 2 Map. Now I get like 60-100 frames and frequent crashes. Tried 1 game, froze 4 times and I had to restart during competitive D:

I guess the new map is a little more GPU intensive. But as long as it's above 60fps it's playable I think.

I haven’t played the classic version of cs go in a while. Even though I really like the game, I’ve played it so much that it got a bit boring.
