No Man’s Sky is finally out for pc.
Being eager to play I just jumped right on not having any idea what I was in for besides E3 videos. This was going to be an awesome day I thought. Almost immediately I noticed something just wasn’t right. I was playing but my eyes seemed to be straining just walking around the starting area. I adjusted some settings hoping it was just a frame rate thing and it would go away as the map loaded. Got resources and explored a bit even got off the planet only to be in an even more disoriented place in space. I never had a game cause me to feel almost ill from the screen movement but that's exactly how I started to feel. I didn't really want to go explore another planet yet, I felt there was more to do on the first planet so I flew back down. I got some more resources upgraded and recharged most of my equipment/ship and I still didn't feel much better. It's almost like the color scheme and movement cause me to feel upset and make my eyes feel blurred almost. I am only posting this in hopes that somehow I am not alone and one of you has experienced something similar with this title. I really want to play this game, but I don't think I can sit there for more than a few minutes without it causing me more discomfort. For a little background on me I am a gamer who has played nearly every AAA title in the last 20 years. Never have I experienced something like this before. Please comment below if you have an explanation as well. Thank you for taking the time to read my issue and I hope that everyone else is getting to enjoy this exciting new title.
I'm sorry that the game causes you to feel that way. I'm also playing NMS (No Man's Sky) at the moment. When I began to fly, I experienced some disorientation but the disorientation subsided after 5 to 10 minutes of learning flight control. I found the controls in general to be quite strange and unfamiliar at first, but now that I'm accustomed to them, I appreciate their design and consideration. It's apparent to me that Hello Games wanted to create something unique unlike anything other game.
After thirty hours of play time, I'm firmly enthralled in the experience and beauty of NMS. I'm still learning about the game after all this time. Beware! The more you know, the more addicted you might become.

Weird, I played for 12 hours on PC yesterday and had an absolutely awesome experience. It may be due to the very small FOV on consoles?
