Mega Man X5 Masochist Challenge Part 05

Let's continue on with this thing.

Not the best outing by me in terms of speed. The stage isn't very hard to get through in terms of not taking damage. Even if only using the X-Buster. So, I played pretty casually.

The reason I decided to keep this recording is all because of the boss fight with... Squid Adler. Jesus Christ with these names in X5.

Squid Adler is a neverending hassle in a no damage challenge, and I'm not looking forward to the boss rush refight where I have to take him on when he has a mile-long health bar.

However, the boss fight here went really well, and I'm quite proud of it.

I did crank up the difficulty in the stage itself a little bit by going for all the Reploids, but there's not a lot to talk about there. A few pretty specific jumps and dashes were necessary to get through some of the areas, but it's nothing like the stuff in Axl the Rose's stage, for example.

This stage was pretty boring to work on because I usually enjoy the planning aspect more than the execution aspect, and this one was almost all execution and very little planning.

Sans the boss fight, like I said.

I could have sped things up trying to miss more of the blue orbs during the bike segment, but only really thought about it after the fact so I just went with the route I came up with to avoid damage.

This is also one of those stages where Alia is a real pace-killer. She interrupts every five steps and it goes a long way to ruin the flow, and it makes it a pain to do re-attempts through this stage.

Next up is Duff McWhalen, and it's even more boring and pointless, so look forward to that.

Wow!! Lol hehe

There were some really close calls there. Really like your videos man, keep up.

Thanks, dude. :)

That stage wasn't much to look at, in my opinion. Not in the context of this challenge. Neither will the next stage, which is Duff McWhalen's stage, but after that, there should be some fun stuff coming up.
