These articles pretty much sum up what is currently wrong with video game journalism, and why I am so against these glorified bloggers. Their entire existence in the industry consists of two things: shilling for corporations who pay them to do so, and virtue signaling and inserting their politics into everything they write. Having said that I noticed a trend these days “Entertainment Writers” will only insult their own audiences when a film they like doesn’t make it big at the box office. Video game journalists attack gamers nonstop 24/7, with slander, lies and outright vitriol.
Now a days being an edgy author who is triggered by everything is the trend. This is what happens when you nurture weakness in society and allow it to fester and grow.
