Review | Solatorobo, Red the Hunter

We go back to a time when few Nintendo DS games were on the market, I'm talking about good games that were worth all the time spent on them. And this game did not disappoint, as it was one of the last knew how to squeeze the console to its full capacity. I will always remember this game, I think it has great sentimental value for me personally. It was the first game I had a few tears with. When you "play the game" for the first time, you're looking forward to more, that surprise from the developers themselves is a jewel. Maybe I'm sinning, but I can tell you for sure: It's one of the best RPG's on the Nintendo DS, surpassing many known names. I know you want the review, so let's get started:

Visual Section

At its best, the game exploits all the visual media that have been and still are. It has the best graphics, which you won't find in other games on the console. Mix the landscapes a 2D environment with 3D characters that gives it a unique touch. The character design is the best there is, they are very well drawn through a characteristic anime style that is typical of Japan. It's an explosion of worlds, of colors, and what I love the most: it has cinematics. This section was a glory of gods in its time.

And here's the game opening:

This intro is made by Madhouse, from what you can see, it's a little jewel.

Gameplay

Do I have to explain this? Just telling them it's an Action RPG is enough for me, it doesn't count with turn-based combat. So I'd better talk to them about how combat mechanics works. It would be very simple and suitable for all ages. It's not complicated at all. Many battles here and there, and a giant hint that pops up all the time saying you press "A". Includes an additional 80 quest, providing many but many playable hours. The main story itself covers 20 hours of play. The combat is based on hitting the crazy and then grabbing our enemies and throwing them to the ground. In addition to all of the above, it also includes puzzles within the adventure to complement and have a little bit of everything. Top of the game, no doubt.

Soundtrack

Beautiful? Great? I don't know how to describe it. The vowels that have their songs are memorable, they have many songs that you will remain engraved in your head, of course, not save that some songs are monotonous. It's not the best the game has to offer, but it's very good. Although, considering that you have to make a song for each phase, when something happens, it's understandable that some songs are passable and made mostly to fill in. Here's one of the ones I liked the most during my voyage:

Story

The biggest job, the best job, where the magic is! The official hand translation by the same company is magnificent. The story tells us about Red Savarin's adventures, which will start with the simple search for a file until we arrive at a much more revealing and interesting argument. It's very funny that all this takes place in a world where dogs and cats live together. Everything is divided into chapters, trying to be similar to the familiar anime's. The end of this game, I can assure you that more than one of you will draw a tear, the progression of characters is incredible. I simply adore it, if you don't believe me, you only have to play it for yourselves and experience what I felt.

What's with the sequel?

That's what we all wondered, in 2012, the creator of that game said he was working on a sequel to the Nintendo 3DS system. To this day, nothing is known, people say that it was only taken in Japan but is not certain. There are images that you don't know without being real or false. In my humble opinion, this game was forgotten.
