Gaming on mobile is forever broken because of the open nature of the android google play store, no regulation, upload what you want to the store, downloadable .apk for aimbots and hacks and of to the races of destroying any notion of competitive gaming on the mobile gaming web.
I kinda see it from a number of angles really, a bit like the way we treat the planet and allow businesses to plunder resources in the pursuit of unlimited/uncapped wealth, i expect the subsidising the mobile handset market for the low end phones which let’s be honest are now middle of the road or high end processing power anyway as the pricing of fabrication keeps coming down and the volume keeps going up.

It’s a freaking free for all out there right now in cross play (most people get bundled together so you play iOS and android together) the only issue is that on android people are using cheats layered up on top of the game to, erm, win? It’s so freaking lame, it’s ruined mobile gaming — i mean you can expect it right, that’s the mantra of the planet right, win at any cost.
Thankfully some saving graces are live streamed contests where they ‘mostly’ operated in a controlled environment, also team matches where people play against people they trust, setting up custom matches with people in the same space like the good old LAN party days are often pretty cool too.
I’m not saying that apple can’t be rooted and layered up with hacks in the same way but it’s not as accessible as say something running on android, i feel like we have millions/billions of people walking around with potentially vulnerable devices that are just waiting for that big one, that one malware that turns all those mobile devices into ddos monsters.
I do hope we get to a point where certain methods are applied to high speed connections where we can support a real time encryption system of sorts, maybe tied to hardware device, maybe that’s gonna be a big industry for confirmation of a confirmed player so that they can be a global competitor anywhere in the world and be officially checked, regularly, even in real time maybe as part of a remote live stream contest — maybe quantum gaming will become a thing, but then if we can have it one way I’m sure someone will find a way to use the very technology against it too.
Ah, the duplicity of everything us humans do eh?
