For the past few years, I've been in love with One Piece. I've been following the anime and manga, I've bought some merchandise, made some fan arts, and now... I'm playing a One Piece Game. It's called "One Piece Treasure Cruise".

I have actually played this in the past. I remember, it was because I was collecting LINE coins to buy some anime stickers years ago. However, my phone that time died and I've never played it again until a couple months ago.

The pictures I'm sharing on this post are screenshots from the game.

After a short video of Gol D. Roger's execution, you'll get directed to this page in which you can press start to begin your adventure.




As seen in the screenshot above, this game is free to play. However, if you want better characters or if you want to make your characters much stronger, you'll need to buy some stuff for the game. Ohh! The wanted posters change every time. Mostly members of the Strawhat Pirates.

The Three Main Game Options

When the game loads, you'll get directed to the main page. Below, you'll see five options: Adventure, Crew, Tavern and others. In the picture above, I chose the "Adventure" tab. In this tab, you'll get three choices which are World Map, Extra Island and Treasure Map. These three are the main games in this app.





Pressing "World Map" will lead you to the main game. The main game follows the story line in the anime and manga. As of the moment, I'm already in the island called "Water Seven". It's so nostalgic because the game really started when Luffy was saved by Shanks in the island where they first met. When I first played it, I felt nostalgia rushing down on me. I'm sure every One Piece fan would enjoy playing this and go back memory lane.





"Extra Island" includes special games and training in which players can earn special powers, power-ups, boosters and other rewards. There are also some locked games which you can unlock using some rainbow devil fruit. Most of the locked games include timed games to earn power-ups and boosters.

There are also some games under the extra island, in which allows rookie players to gain free EXP. It will be given by "Chopperman" and it was actually really useful when I just started playing. Right now, the special characters and rewards players could get are members of Germa 66. I already got Ichiji, Niji and Yonji. :)





As for "Treasure Map", we get to play this only if there are special events. I ranked 9000+ during the last event, but I'm still in the East Blue level. Usually, events only last for 4 days and we have to constantly play it to rank up. Unfortunately, I could only play during my break time. But I'm glad because the first event I played, my ranking was 24,000+. lol... xD Not bad, isn't it?

Events are also your chances to get more power-ups and gems. Gems are used for limit break. I'll explain limit break later when we move on to the "Crew" tab.

CREW

Obviously, in this tab, you'll get to check out your crews or the characters you gain as you moved on to your adventure. My Pirate Group is named "Haraheta Kaizoku" or "Hungry Pirates" in English. In this tab, you can do the following:

• EDIT CREW : You can choose one captain and 4 crew members who you're going to use in battles.
• SELL : If you're in need of "Berries" or perhaps get rid of characters you don't really like, you can sell it.
• POWER UP : You can increase the HP, ATK and RCV of your characters. You can use other characters to power up, or other stuff intended for power-up like Turtles.
• EVOLVE or SUPER EVOLVE : When your characters reach the max level, you can evolve it further. You can gather evolvers from the Extra Island games.
• CHARACTER BOX : This option will show you information about the characters you've gathered so far. You can also lock some characters by choosing it as your favorite, that way, you won't accidentally sell or use it to power up.
• LIMIT BREAK : As I've mentioned earlier, you can collect gems from the treasure map events which would be used to limit break. Limit break, as the name suggests, breaks the character's limit. When a super evolved character reaches its max level, you normally cannot evolve it farther. However, if you use limit break, you can still make it stronger.

TAVERN

Tavern is like the store. You can purchase stuff using real money, or you can exchange certain points for other important stuff. You can also gain characters here using rainbow gem/devil fruit. The characters you can get also varies. As of the moment, it's GERMA66. Since I already got 3 of them from the extra island games, I need not buy any of them :)

I hope there'll be double characters available again. "Double characters" means two characters in a single card. It's actually super strong because you can use both their abilities especially when you use the special attack.

FRIENDS

This tab includes mails from the admins or friend requests. As you may have seen in the "Tavern" earlier, there's an option in which you can exchange characters by using friend points. You can earn friend points when you add friends, ask your friends for help in battles and when your friends ask your help for battles.

You can also edit stuff from this tab, and check your ranking. You can see how much your bounty is especially when you play a special game in the extra island which can increase bounty depending on your performance in that game.

LET ME SHOW YOU THE GAME ITSELF!!!

As shown earlier, I'm currently in Water Seven... chapter 5. When I press that tab, I'll be given the chance to choose a Friend to help me in battle which will help both of us earn Friend points.





The battle looks like this. Characters come in different type. There are STR (red), QCK (blue), DEX (green), PSY (yellow) and INT (violet). Some types are weaker against others and stronger against others. So it's a kind of strategy. My main crew usually consist of one of each type. However, when I do special games, I change crews depending on the other party.





After several turns, the bar below each character reaches MAX. In that case, you can use the character's special attack.





My character's (Captain Luffy) Special Attack is "Gomu-Gomu no Elephant Gun". It differs from character to character. The effect also differs depending on the character's level.

REWARDS

After completing each game, you'll get various rewards. Rewards also vary depending on the difficultly of the game. Since the game I played earlier was only the 5th chapter in Water Seven island, the rewards aren't that much. However, when I'm against the final boss in a certain episode, I get to have much better rewards and additional rainbow gems.

Story Line

I'm already in this part. T_T My heart is aching. huhuhu~ It was when Usopp tried hard to win against Franky's crew to get back their 200 million berries. I'm nearing the part when the Strawhats would save Robin and say goodbye to Going Merry. Imagining it makes me sad. T_T

Anyway, I really enjoy playing this game. It's a great stress reliever for me and I get to review the story lines in One Piece... only that, I had to fight together with them. Yaaaay~!
