Whew that was hard to watch. I had heard all about this but wow. Cringe!

Diablo gamers tend to have high end gaming computers that they spent thousands of dollars on.
If I were a Diablo guy, I would be pissed for sure.

I kind of felt that way when instead of The Elder Scrolls VI, Bethesda released an MMO and a mobile card game...

They core team working on fallout 4 and elder scrolls 6. A 3rd party did Elder Scrolls Online

It's like they are trying to use Blizzard's reputation to ride out bad PR or marketing stunts.

Yeah I have to say I was among the disappointed ones. I knew it would happen. After hearthstone was a success and with every other successful game being ported to mobile (PUBG, Fortnite,Bioshock) it made sense they would do Diablo first because of the game design being the most suited for mobile adaptation. I just don't feel like squinting at a tiny phone screen anymore.
What pissed me off was that they weren't doing this project in house and had delegated it to another company. You don't say that shit on the main stage at Blizzcon, in front of your company's most diehard fans.
And then the last minute decision that the WoW Classic trial would have a one hour play limit: the only thing that made buying a digital ticket halfway appealing. Bad year for Blizzcon.
