Introduction
I waited for this article to appear to control my thoughts. The games you mentioned in your other article are sometimes really good reasons to buy the console. Just "Horizon - Zero Dawn" is a real system seller.
Personally, I don't like the "Uncharted" series as I rarely play classic cover shooters. However, because of the great staging of this series, it is easy to understand that you love it.
Although Playstation VR can't keep up with the desktop PC due to the poorer hardware of the console, it's still a great opportunity for anyone who owns a Playstation 4 to try it out. It will definitely pay off.
My Playstation 4
I personally only have the first Playstation 4 and personally do not see it as much money to pay for a hardware upgrade again. In general, I'm not a fan of how the console market is developing in this respect. Individual interchangeable modules would be more appropriate.
Nevertheless, I like the Playstation 4 because of the many good games, some of which you have listed. As long as all games run in adequate quality on my old console I will not complain.
To your criticism
I am also one of those people who tend to stream 4K content. That's why I don't miss that the console isn't able to do that. Nevertheless a justified point of criticism, since the Xbox is also capable of it.
The interface of the Playstation 4 is really not the best and I find myself very badly in it. I don't understand why the Playstation Network doesn't simply copy from Microsoft and Steam when it comes to payment. Note the time it took until you could finally pay with more than a credit card.
Meanwhile I assume Sony pure greed, if one speaks about devaluation compatibility of games. If you don't allow the function from the system, you can simply sell all the HD remakes and the like better. Here they could show good will by getting the new version for free at least by proving that you own the old game originally. But I'm afraid that's wishful thinking.
My conclusion
Personally, I'm not buying consoles anymore. The computer is simply cheaper, better upgraded and can do much more last. Of course, the initial purchase costs are much higher, but after that you only need a few upgrades every few years to keep up with the state of development. Consoles certainly have their right to exist because they are easy to use. That's just my personal point.
The only thing that keeps consoles to a large extent still alive are the exclusive titles you mentioned. But wouldn't a world where you can decide on which platform you want to play your favorite game be better?
But I think, also this is unfortunately only wishful thinking.......
Well said, agree on this

I really liked your whole comment, and this scenetnce is what I always say:
They're easier to get used to, and you'll know the game will work just because it's developed for your system.
Even if you have a strong PC you might need to install other applications/libraries./patches.. etc. for some games to work... There are just too many different PC parts for the developers to test on all of them. (Hence why almost every PC game released has bugs/issues at launch)

Day one patches and bug fixes are a normal thing on consoles today too. But you are right by saying that games are easier to polish, if you are only publishing on one system.
