Take a look of a Classic: Mega-Man X

in gaming •  7 years ago  (edited)
Mega-Man X, magnificent game and first of a whole series of video games with the same name, although in 1987 there was another version called Mega-Man, which is called Classic Series and happens at least 100 years before the game we are talking about, unlike the original Mega-Man, who had a personality little defined, the Mega-Man X series puts a lot of emphasis on fiction, and represents X as a warrior who wants nothing more than to live a quiet life, without fights, but is forced to fight to protect peace, as soon as the game begins you find yourself in a futuristic world, with high skyscrapers and an excellent color palette for the time. The game teaches you how to play on your own without giving you a hint. Developed by Capcom and distributed by Capcom and Nintendo for the Super Nintendo system in 1993 and then by Rozner Labs for PC in 1995, where we would see a 2D platform game that could entertain us for a few hours a day for the player to enjoy.

The ability to improve all our equipment, the new features added to this game like sliding or climbing and getting an X-Booster that gave both offensive and defensive bonuses, was something quite interesting to play this Mega-Man because it was not the first one I played but had already had experiences with the Mega-Man X5 or the original series Mega-Man 8, Clear as all Mega-Man we must first defeat 8 bosses who will give us different weapons with different advantages against the following bosses, first the so-called fortress bosses and then the final bosses which obviously by their name will be the strongest in the game and will be more difficult to defeat than the previous ones.

The story of the game is where, Mega-Man X, abbreviated X is an android who, along with his partner Zero and the rest of the Maverick Hunters, protects humans and and androids based on their own design known as Reploids from those who have become a threat to peace, known as Mavericks. X is the last and best work of Dr. Light, the first android capable of thinking, feeling and making his own decisions.

Light called it X in relation to the variable "x" which, in algebraic terms, represents unlimited possibilities. Light feared that giving this android a free will might be dangerous, so he decided to seal X into a capsule that would test the integrity and reliability of their systems, which would take 30 years. Unfortunately, Dr. Light would not live long enough to get X to achieve this process and would be discovered by Dr. Cain 100 years later in the ruins of a robotics research center that had been operated by the former Dr. Light. Light, which would be a very advanced robot and would be duplicated by it after it had been studied and the replicas would be called Reploids, some of which would start criminal activity and be called Mavericks, which would be hunted down by the Mavericks Hunter and their leader Sigma, until it becomes infected with the Maverick virus and along with some of their followers take control of an island and must be defeated by Zero and the newly incorporated Mavericks Hunter Mega-Man X.

Each stage of the game is filled with various enemies and dangers and ends with a battle commander against his respective Maverick. Although it's not your typical current game, it's strongly recommended and has some pretty advanced graphics for its time, I hope you enjoy the game.

Good Job Man. Mega man is a big game

Cool bro! Oldies but goodies! One of the legendary games of all time!

I played the crap out of Megaman X4. Such a great series!

Good job, I have a real love-hate relationship with Mega Man. On the one hand, I totally loved the children's series back then and also enjoyed playing the games, on the other hand, the games often made me almost desperate because of their difficulty level.

Still, I just like Mega Man because of this futuristic setting. Resteemed you!

I have never played Megaman X, but it is certainly one of the classics I intend to play in the near future! Good article x)
