Starcraft 2 Zerg training series: Getting fast builds

Keep an eye on your supply.

Zerg produce multiple eggs at once, this can quickly make a dent in your supplies without going noticed. Overlords are cheap, build a little extra as you go along.

Production can be tricky and slow if you don't have enough hatcheries. Upgrade your hatcheries to further boost your unit production speed, which can be painfully slow if you don't. Know your base camera hotkey and keep injecting larvae, this is the key to building large armies fast.

Rally your eggs before they hatch for better control of placement. Zerg static defences are weak and expensive, use them sparingly and focus on spending on units.
