Why PC gaming is better than gaming in a console

  1. Superior graphics-PC gaming allows you to take graphics to the next level. Consider the upcoming Xbox it says it can run games in "true" 4k, but that is not really true. In order to have that kind of resolution the Xbox must sacrifice shadows detail, anti-aliasing, vsync etc. thus even the 4k experience is much different.
  2. More than just gaming- With a PC you can be doing homework  in word, while listening to music, as you play a game in civilization VI in split-screen.
  3. Cheaper- Consoles simply don't have sites like G2A , huge steam sales, and umm... "free" games in torrenting sites (if you really want to be cheap). I do agree that the initial cost can be more expensive but in long run a PC can pay for itself . There is also no fee to use services in fact I got games for free this steam sale by selling some of my digital cards in the steam market place.
  4. Upgradable- If something is not performing then it can be replaced. Let's say your graphics card can't run a certain game you can buy a second one and SLI it for better performance. Or lets say you run out of storage just buy a new hard drive or SSD.
  5. Mods- If there is a game that is famous then there is mods for it. There is mods for some console games but only after they have been out for while in PC. There is even some interesting mods for Skyrim that wouldn't make it into consoles because they have nudity or too much gore. Mods do not really have a filter in PC.
  6. Mouse and keyboard- This is a weak point since consoles can technically use mouse and keyboard. In PC this more common, for obvious reasons. Using a mouse and keyboard is superior to a controller since there is more room for movement as you have an entire mouse pad. This allows for higher acuureci in FPS games. In addition, you can bind stuff to the mouse to increase your dexterity while playing fast paced games.
  7. Monitors-This should probably have been under graphics but I think it deserves its own section. There is a huge difference between a TV and a monitor. What separates them is the response time, a TV can only refresh 60 times per second (Hz) while some monitors can refresh up to 200 times per second. I used to own a console and played at around 30 fps. Recently, I forgot to turn off my mining software and I was hitting around 30 fps which just seemed unplayable. Once I got my monitor I realized just have much of a difference those Hertz actually make.
  8. Competitive- Most competitive games are in PC. Why? The reason is that PC's has a higher skill cap since the players can use a mouse and keyboard as well as a higher Hertz monitor. Shout out to C9!
  9. Multiple communities-When ever I used to play xbox back in the day I would always play with the same kind of players. PC gaming allows you to go from the toxic community of league of legends to the helpful community if most online MMORPG's. This kind of change in community is not really present in a consoles gameplay.

I used.to do mostly pc gaming but the problem I had with it was I always felt I was at a disadvantage when I played online. If my PC wasn't getting 60+ fps and everyone else was, it was really discouraging. I think consoles level the playing field in that regard, but the rest of the things you mentioned are good points.

Sometimes you have to lower your settings, in a competitive game some of the settings actually hurt your performance. That's a good point though, sometimes it is unfair. Luckily most of the e-sport titles can be ran relatively easy.

If you have a good computer, it's still worth visiting the https://royalcdkeys.com/ site where you can always buy all the latest games really cheap.
