These days, games don't come with instruction manuals they come with tutorials that are built into the game and if something isn't explicitly told to you, you have the internet for that, right?
So I have been playing Hades for a while now even though initially I said that the idea behind playing the same levels over and over and over again does not appeal to me. I still doesn't to be honest with you, but there is something about this game that makes it something you simply can't help but return to.

Anyway, you will reach certain point of excellence where you will eventually start to breeze through the first and probably second stages of the game and probably the fourth as well. The 3rd is the most difficult IMO. So later on you may wish to learn some stuff that I found out the hard way and can tell them to you now.

Weapons upgrades are permanent and irreversible
For the most part this doesn't matter a great deal because it only changes the damage or speed but in the instance of the shield weapon, which I don't recall the actual name of, the upgrade I did on the shield was the throw, where previously it would fly across the room and bounce off enemies Captain America style and then return to you after a certain number of bounces. This was my favorite method of picking off trash mobs.
I upgraded this aspect because I wanted it to be more powerful and it did that but it also completely changed the way the throw functions.

Now instead of bouncing between enemies like what would have happened above the shield has become a slow moving gigantic something or other that only comes back to you once you "recall" it by hitting the same button that launches it. This is all fine and dandy if you have enemies that stay in one place but like 90% of the enemies in this game do NOT do this.
So the weapon that used to be my favorite has now become my least favorite of the bunch all because of an upgrade.
If you don't like the upgrade, too bad... you are stuck with it
Unlike other games (including other aspects of this game) if you sink points into an attribute or upgrade and it turns out you don't like it you can pull it back or change it but that is NOT the case with weapon upgrades in Hades.

The only choice you would have if you make this mistake would be to start the entire game over from scratch and well, since the game is already the same thing over and over again I guess this wouldn't be the end of the world. Who knows, maybe you'll do stuff more intelligently the 2nd time around.
The stuff used to upgrade weapons is SCARCE
src
This scarce material is called Titan's Blood and it is very tough to get a lot of it. So when you screw up and upgrade the "wrong" thing on your weapon, not only are you potentially screwing up your favorite part of that weapon but you also are using the most scarce currency in the game. I have made it to the final boss with all of the weapons and I only have a grand total of 6 of them. I know how to get more but great googly moogly is it tough and time-consuming to make that happen.
So make sure that you really love the weapon before upgrading it, it might be a while before you see any more Titan's Blood to change things up!
Be very careful before spending that Titan's Blood or maybe look at a YT video to see the before and after before you do so because you can't go back in time if you don't like it.
I suppose there is one way that you could, you would need to determine that you don't like it before you leave the weapons' room because the game will autosave from that point forward. More often than no though, I think you won't realize that you don't like the upgrade until you've actually used it in combat.
Game on!
Is this a mobile game or pc? A lot of games also come out with like a player made wiki or fandom usually has a wiki for the game if they don't have one.

This is a game that is available on all platforms but i don't think it is mobile. It might not yet be on PS but it is coming. I play on PC with an xbox controller.
There are plenty of wiki's and fandoms but there are so many spoilers mixed in that i tend to stay away from them.

basically everyone I know is talking about this game but i just can't get behind these games where there is no end and you just play the same levels over and over again. I've watched a few videos because it is really cheap right now and i am in lockdown but nah, i'll pass.
