Hi buddies! how is your day? Great? yeah, I hope so. Today, I'm gonna review a quite classic game. It's "Galaga" which is quite old game. I'm not gonna talk to much in this part. Let's do our review of it.

I'm not sure if all of you ever played Galaga because it's one of the very old games. It was launched and published in 1981 by Namco Japan and by Midway in North America. Actually, it's a Galaxian sequel. Galaga is a Japanese shoot-'em-up arcade game. Galaga is a standout amongst the most industrially and fundamentally fruitful amusements from the brilliant time of arcade computer games. The arcade rendition of it has been ported to numerous consoles, and it has had a few continuations. In 2011, the diversion commended its 30th anniversary with the arrival of Galaga 30th Collection for iOS.

GAMEPLAY


Galaga is the simple game. It doesn't have any special missions like other games. The objective of Galaga is that you only need achieve the score as highest as possible. Did you wonder how can you get the score? You just need to shoot the insect-like robots by using starfighter. The starfighter is controlled by the player and can be moved to the left, right, upward and downward. If you think it's easy, you're wrong. The enemies move rapidly and make a unique pattern to cover their boss. Not only that, They also can release the fire toward you. Then, you can be defeated if they contact you barely. So, you should pay extra attention to your performance during playing.
The player is responsible for only one warrior, a "supervisor" Galaga (which endures two shots to slaughter, the primary hit will turn it purple) will occasionally endeavor to catch the contender utilizing a tractor beam. If it's accomplished, the fighter joins the foe development as a satellite to the supervisor Galaga which caught it. As the result, the hostage fighter becomes an enemy which is indicated by turning red. You don't need to worry because you still have firing ability while being captured.

What makes Galaga popular is that it come up in several movies. For example, It firstly appeared in Wargames in 1983. Then, it was followed by "The Katare Kid", "Planes, Trains and Automobiles", and Pixel in 1984, 1987, and 2015 respectively. Moreover, It also showed in The Avengers in 2012

Here is the main menu of Galaga, you can choose the number of players. But if you select two players, it doesn't mean you can play with your partner at the same time but you play it alternately.

My Opinion


As usual, at the end of the article, I give my personal view of this game. For the graphic, Galaga has a good user interface. Then, Galaga doesn't have any special missions like other games.
