Out with the old, make room for the new! I tore out almost all of the spent beans as well as the crusty cherry tomato. Now there's room to plant winter crops like spinach, turnips, and peas.
A lone Anaheim pepper plant stands in the vacated beans + tomato bed.
Pruning the crowded brassica area gives all the plants more air and light, not to mention armloadsof chicken treats!
I really crowded them in, will space better next time.
Cool weather allows broccoli time to develop massive heads.
The beets and chard now have access to the sunshine. The cucumbers are looking a little stressed, so they got a dose of Neem oil and soap to put the kabosh on the white fly action.
Hanging out on the farm is an interspecies jamboree. Here's my son hanging out with Devon Bunny, surrounded by jealous poultry, and a hound of nonchalance.
May all beings dwell in love kindness peace and joy <3

Oh my goodness...the sun is shining, the animals look so healthy, so do your plants. I would love to one day live where I can plant winter crops without needing underground greenhouses!

Many thanks for visiting! SoCal growing season is limited more by heat and drought than by cold! In the summer, I kinda wish I could go underground lol!
Tons of love!
